Tim Almack is a partner in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Audit & Assurance Services Group. As the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Transportation Services Group, Tim works with clients to ensure accurate financial and tax reporting, analyze and improve key performance indicators, and utilize resources to assist clients in increasing profitability, and thus the value of their companies. Tim is very involved with many state trucking associations, the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA), FreightWaves, and other industry organizations that promote general transportation knowledge and best practices. Sergey Bort

Sergey is the Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Business Development at GP Transco, an asset-based carrier in Joliet, IL. Sergey received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and psychology from North Central College. Matt Duncan

Vice President of Driver Recruiting, Covenant Logistics

Matt Duncan is the Vice President of Driver Recruiting for Covenant Logistics. With nearly 10 years of experience within the transportation industry, Matt began as an Account Manager for Landair within a year, became the Director of Maintenance. After 4 years, he became the Senior Director of Recruiting before moving to Covenant. Before shifting to the transportation industry, Matt worked as a Contract Specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He holds three degrees from the University of Tennesse: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Master of Science in Sport Management, and an MBA in Marketing.


Darren Epps

Darren Epps was named Senior Director of Advanced Vehicle Technology in March 2021. Previous positions include being  electric transportation manager at Atlanta-based Georgia Power, the largest subsidiary of Southern Company, one of the nation’s largest generators of electricity. Epps holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. Ryder specializes in fleet management, supply chain management, and dedicated transportation management. It also offers full-service leasing, rental and maintenance, used vehicle sales, transportation management, professional drivers, e-commerce fulfillment, and last-mile delivery services.


Greg Feary

President/Managing Partner, Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary

Greg Feary is president and managing partner of Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary, a law firm serving the transportation industry throughout the United States. Feary focuses on independent contractor issues and legislation, as well as transportation insurance and corporate structure designs to reduce exposure to the firm’s transportation clientele. He audits his clients’ independent contractor programs and provides legislative support for many organizations and clients. Feary drafted Indiana's law deeming owner-operators of trucks to be independent contractors for purposes of workers' compensation and is the author of both Independent Contractor Employment Classification: A Survey of State and Federal Laws in the Motor Carrier Industry, 35 Trans. Michael Lasko

Mike Lasko has been working in transportation for over 19 years. He began his career as a professional driver before moving into operations and safety management. Michael joined Boyle Transportation in 2015. He is a certified Smith System Advanced Driving Concepts instructor, DOT trained and certified hazardous materials instructor and is also certified ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor. In 2018, Michael was the winner of the Heavy Duty Trucking Magazine Safety and Compliance Award. Prior to joining Boyle, he was the Safety Manager for New Penn Motor Express and had previously worked for Panera Bread as the northeast Distribution Manager and the Chairman of Panera Bread's Transportation Safety Committee. Michael graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bristol College and attended Bryant University.

Mike McDonald

Director of Maintenance, Benore Logistics Systems

Mike McDonald has over 30 years of experience in truck fleet maintenance operations and efficiency improvement. He began his career as a truck technician after trade school, earning a degree in Diesel Truck Technology and Service Management, and became an ASE Certified Master Auto and Master HD Truck Technician. After moving into management, he consulted for several years in fleet maintenance, safety, and technology/systems development and implementation. He has been an active member of TMC since 2005, spending most of his time in the S2 (Tire and Wheel) study group, and has led and contributed to several RP's around tire spec'ing and management. He was awarded CCJ Innovator of the Month in August of 2008 for the development and implementation of a safety management system. Mike is currently the Director of Maintenance for Benore Logistics Systems in Greer SC, where he resides with Ellyn, his wife of 34 years, and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and working on his yard and antique tractors.


Rob Moseley

Mike Roeth

Mike Roeth has worked in the commercial vehicle industry for over 35 years. He is the executive director of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency and is the trucking lead for RMI, a non-profit organization that works to transform global energy systems across the economy. Roeth specializes in brokering green truck collaborative technologies into the real world at scale. He was awarded the prestigious 2020 L. Ray Buckendale Lecturer and manuscript author. Roeth served on the second National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, Medicine Committee on Reducing Fuel Consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles is a Department of Energy Merit Reviewer and past Chairman of the Board for the Truck Manufacturers Association. Leah Shaver

Leah Shaver is the President & Chief Executive Officer at The National Transportation Institute (NTI), the trucking industry subject matter experts on professional driver wages, best practices and programs and in 2019 joined the lineup of Talk Radio Hosts on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio.

He is currently one of the premier industry forecasters on transportation equipment demand for rail cars, commercial trucks and trailers.

Eric is a frequent speaker at Wall Street analyst meetings, association events, and private meetings. He is an active member of the transportation community, former board member for NITL, and was instrumental in the creation of the Indiana University Transportation Board.

Eric holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University and is married and resides in Bloomington, Ind. with his wife Shannon and four children (all boys) who keep them busy. As an avid athlete, he enjoys participating in endurance sporting events that include swimming, biking and running. His most recent pursuit was a 1/2 Ironman triathlon.


John Thomas

SVP of Sustainability and Alternative Energy, TravelCenters of America

John D. Thomas has over 30 years of experience in product engineering, operations and executive leadership, having most recently served as Vice President, Operations at Toyoda Gosei, a leading global manufacturer of automotive components, safety systems and LEDs. Prior to that, he founded and served as Lead Consultant for the Emerging Technologies Group within ET Consultants focused on global cleantech projects. Mr. Thomas also previously served as CEO of the electric vehicle startup, Helix Motors, Inc., and as a Board Advisor to the Global Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco. In addition, he founded and led ALTe Powertrain Technologies, Inc. as CEO, and served as VP of Operations for Detroit Chassis LLC, a Ford JV. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Thomas served as Senior Program Director & General Manager at Tesla Motors, most notably leading the team that created and engineered the Tesla Model S automobile and the initial factory to build the vehicle. In 2012, he was included on the esteemed Ernst & Young EV100 list, which comprises individuals who are increasing demand, influencing policy, and driving mass roll-out, thereby helping to make electric vehicles more rapidly affordable for everyone. Mr. Thomas began his career in Detroit, holding roles at Collins & Aikman, GKN Automotive, Ford Motor Company, and General Motors. Jim Ward

Jim Ward is president of D.M. Bowman, a 382-truck fleet based in Williamsport, Md. Under his direction, the company has transitioned from truckload carrier to a full-service transportation company, offering its customers dedicated fleet services, short haul, linehaul, brokerage, logistics and warehousing for dry van, flatbed, bulk and specialty services. Ward is the 2021-2022 chairman of the Truckload Carriers Association. In addition, he serves on TCA’s Board of Directors, Financial Oversight Committee, Highway Policy Committee, Regulatory Policy Committee and Recruitment & Retention Human Resources Committee. Ward has been in the transportation industry for 43 years. He started his career with the Western Maryland Railroad prior to joining D.M. Bowman in 1986, and also served as managing director of the Transportation Industry Division for Willis of Nashville.


Keith Wilson

A second-generation TITAN, Keith Wilson may have called TITAN home for the past 25 years but it has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember.
